Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home

 Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home, Version 11
It's the best speech recognition products out there. This product is much better than what comes with Windows, however, technology has come a long way to go. You have to keep a close eye on what is being typed versus what you're saying. Sometimes I find it easier to correct a word manually instead of trying to command it. But for the most part of the product is about 99%. Very useful for those who are computer illiterate or has a disability that does not allow them to enter. I like that you can select the region that are, for example, I'm from East Tennessee is selected Southeastern United States as my voice profile so that it compensates for my southern accent. He also has a learning system that should improve the performance of the product, the more you use it. I just saw a dramatic improvement in the first two days of product use. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a product of good speech recognition.

By the way I used this product to write this review.

Here is an update to the very scathing review Dragon NaturallySpeaking gave some time ago:I have a new computer with Windows 7 and allowed me to update my Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 11.5 for 64-bit version for $ 30. So I would be remiss if I did not repost this comment: Under these new circumstances it works very good and I do not have to do a lot of "training" as a matter of fact, I dictated this review using the whole program and has no errors.I have been using Dragon Naturally Speaking premium, since v.6 and never had any improvement in speech recognition, but I keep buying the updates, hoping it will. I'm up to 11.5 now, and yes, it still sucks. Occasionally, cruising right along and then again sometimes it is totally non-cooperative. Note: you always, I repeat, ALWAYS have to go back and words of reclassification. I have the best microphone and sound card out there, I dictated the program over the formation of words and text recognition provided and still reverts to what it wants to write. Also confused with dictation system commands. For example, if you want to dictate the next as in "she was close to me 'Naturally Speaking think you said close and closes the program. I can not tell you the amount of data lost in this way. There is an option to say "click" in front of the system commands, but sometimes you just forget. Besides having to do this is ... well ... not speaking naturally.Basically it's good to get a lot of text in a page quickly. Then you go back and fix all the mistakes he made. However, I'm an "assistant two fingers" and a timed test I thought I could finish typing a document faster than dictate and correct. Also the program is more unstable and disturbing the system I've used. Sometimes it gives me an error message and then hangs the computer so badly that the only thing that works is to physically disconnect and then again, it's not really good for your computer if done often. You only have 90 days customer support to forget any help. It's just my computer? Probably not, 'cause it does basically the same thing on my custom built desktop and my laptop the other Gateway. All machines Xp ProSave yourself the frustration. Simply type or W7 to get your own dictation program.
